They face England next weekend..

Tonga has named a 24-player squad for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, with released half-back Tui Lolohea standing as the sole Super League representative. Head coach Kristian Woolf selected the group ahead of Tonga's tournament opener against England next weekend, with one player still needing to be omitted prior to kickoff.
The squad features prominent NRL stars headlined by Jason Taumalolo in his final World Cup campaign, alongside Robert Toia and Jojo Fifita. Additionally, Tyson Frizell is set to make rugby league history by becoming the first player to represent three different nations at World Cup tournaments, having previously played for Wales and Australia.
