Mikey Lewis is set to feature in England’s Rugby League World Cup match with France after a late change to the side.

Mikey Lewis has been promoted to England's interchange bench for their Rugby League World Cup fixture against France following a late squad adjustment by head coach Brian McDermott. Lewis takes the spot of Wigan Warriors winger Zach Eckersley, who was dropped from the matchday squad completely after Matty Ashton was named to start on the wing.
Lewis, the 2024 Super League Man of Steel, was initially omitted from the squad for a second consecutive match before being drafted in. England requires a significant victory over France to sustain their qualification hopes, dependent on scoring margins and other group results involving Tonga and Samoa.
