Paul Rowley has still remained a St Helens employee despite stepping down from his role as head coach earlier this year.

St. Helens has formally confirmed that former head coach Paul Rowley has officially left the club following an earlier stint on gardening leave during the 2026 campaign. His formal departure clears the pathway for Rowley to secure his next coaching role ahead of the 2027 season, with multiple potential destinations emerging.
Rowley is reportedly linked with a potential move to the NRL as an assistant coach under Benji Marshall at Wests Tigers, who are currently conducting a comprehensive post-season review. In addition to potential Australian opportunities, Rowley also remains a leading candidate for the vacant head coach position at Super League club Castleford Tigers.
