The Story in 60 Seconds

Castleford Tigers have appointed Paul Rowley as their new head coach on a three-year contract. The former St Helens boss replaces Ryan Carr, who departed the club two months ago for personal reasons. Rowley becomes the seventh head coach at Castleford since Daryl Powell left in 2021.

Rowley left St Helens in July and previously managed Salford before their financial collapse in 2025. He joins Castleford after a difficult campaign where the team finished second from bottom in Super League, winning eight of 27 matches.
