Warrington coach hails ‘unbelievable asset’ Danny Walker as England selection urged

Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess has praised hooker Danny Walker as an "unbelievable asset" ahead of their Super League semi-final against Leeds Rhinos. Burgess believes the 27-year-old's strong form throughout the 2026 campaign warrants inclusion in England's upcoming Rugby League World Cup squad.

Walker has made 31 appearances for Warrington across all competitions this season and is set to make his 180th club appearance on Friday. The hooker, who previously earned four England caps in 2023, missed out on the national team's Ashes Series squad last autumn.
