They have their eyes on two key targets, with one more likely than the other.

The Perth Bears are reportedly weighing up a potential permanent move for Cameron Munster ahead of the 2028 season. Journalist Brent Read revealed on Fox Sports' NRL 360 that Perth has the financial capability to secure a marquee signing. Munster is off-contract with the Melbourne Storm at the end of 2027 and is reportedly resistant to a proposed pay cut to $750,000 per season.
Melbourne faces severe salary cap constraints as the club also attempts to secure long-term terms for Harry Grant. With Munster keen to avoid moving to a Sydney-based club, Read noted that the five-eighth is considered the more likely of the two Storm stars to depart.
