Wales women concede 21 tries in Sydney as defending Rugby League World Cup champions Australia rewrite the international record books.

Australia secured the biggest score in international rugby league history by defeating tournament debutants Wales 124-6 in Sydney. The Jillaroos ran in 21 tries during the dominant display, led by winger Jaime Chapman who scored six tries and Jessica Sergis who crossed four times, while Jesse Southwell successfully kicked 20 goals.
Wales celebrated a historic moment despite the heavy loss, becoming the first team to score against Australia in the tournament when Paige Travis touched down following a kick from Tayla Preston. Captain Bethan Dainton praised her team's resilience and commitment to inspiring young girls back home.
