Latrell Mitchell may still emerge as a World Cup game-breaker for the Kangaroos despite being overlooked for the starting side.
Australian coach Kevin Walters stated that Latrell Mitchell remains a key option for the Kangaroos ahead of their World Cup semi-final at Allianz Stadium. Mitchell lost his starting left center spot to Bradman Best across the previous two matches, but Walters noted he is ready to utilize Mitchell from the interchange bench if he does not start.
Walters confirmed all squad selections remain open following Australia's 66-6 victory over the Cook Islands. In further team updates, Cameron Murray is set to return after calf tightness, while Ethan Strange impressed on debut playing in the middle after replacing Isaah Yeo.
