Georgia, Spain, Romania, and Portugal have established the IV Nations Alliance after signing a memorandum of understanding in Tbilisi on September 29. The initiative focuses on shared sustainable growth, high-performance collaboration, commercial development, and proposed competitive changes to international calendars.
The alliance will operate alongside World Rugby and Rugby Europe to foster joint training programs and best-practice exchanges. It marks a historic period for the four nations, as all four are set to compete simultaneously in the Men's Rugby World Cup for the first time.
