A Springbok rookie's tour could be over before it has even started.

Uncapped Springbok flyhalf Yaqeen Ahmed missed Monday's training session in Turin due to a shoulder injury, putting his tour in doubt. Head coach Rassie Erasmus revealed the 20-year-old Stormers player was honest about being sore and might have to return to South Africa for scans and further assessment.
Ahmed is one of six uncapped players picked for the European leg of the Nations Championship following strong performances for the Junior Boks and the Stormers. Erasmus noted that while experiencing the team environment is valuable, a final decision on whether he returns home will be made soon.
