SCOTT PENNY admits he handles the pain of being left out better than he used to - but insists the day it stops hurting is the day to hang up his boots. The 27-year-old is a key figure for Leinster…

Leinster flanker Scott Penny has spoken out about managing the disappointment of missing out on major matches, stating that players should hang up their boots if omission stops hurting. Penny starts for Leinster against Connacht at Dexcom Stadium on Friday night with 17 Ireland internationals unavailable due to international duty.
Now in his ninth season with over 100 caps, Penny has often backed up Josh van der Flier for crucial games. Despite former teammates joining ex-coach Stuart Lancaster at Connacht, Penny chose to remain in Dublin, reiterating his commitment to the province while striving for regular selection.
