England fly-half Fin Smith is an injury concern ahead of the Nations Championship opener against Australia on November 8. Smith injured his calf while playing for Northampton against Leicester on Saturday, ruling him out of England's three-day training camp in Bagshot this week. Head coach Steve Borthwick has called up Gloucester fly-half Charlie Atkinson as cover.
England management remains hopeful that Smith will recover in time to face the Wallabies. Several other players face fitness concerns, including Bath's Guy Pepper, Bristol's Benhard Janse van Rensburg, and Gloucester inside centre Seb Atkinson.
