England’s historic winning streak ends after Red Roses draw with Canada

England's historic 39-match winning streak came to an end after the Red Roses played out a 26-26 draw against Canada in the WXV series. While England extended their unbeaten run to 40 Tests, they failed to win an international fixture for the first time since 2022. The result also marked the end of England's perfect home record against the Canadian team.

Exeter winger Claudia Moloney-MacDonald scored two first-half tries for England to help secure the draw under head coach John Mitchell. Canada's impressive performance was led by standout displays from Julia Omokhuale, Florence Symonds, and Sophie de Goede. The two teams are scheduled to face each other in two more WXV series matches this autumn.
