Former England captain Lawrence Dallaglio is set to sell his 2003 Rugby World Cup winner's medal after being declared bankrupt.

Former England captain Lawrence Dallaglio is auctioning his 2003 Rugby World Cup winner's medal following his bankruptcy. The 54-year-old former Wasps player is selling a collection of career memorabilia that carries an estimated total value of £180,000. The World Cup medal alone is expected to fetch between £50,000 and £80,000 at Budd's auction house in Northamptonshire on October 13.
Dallaglio revealed on The High Performance podcast that his financial difficulties and subsequent bankruptcy resulted from his divorce. The auction also includes a British and Irish Lions cap, his 1993 World Cup Sevens winner's medal, and his 2003 Six Nations Championship medal.
