SPOTLIGHT: After marvelling at Mark Nawaqanitawase's sparkling NRL grand final display, the Wallabies are adamant that he'll help bring out the best in their team once he re-enters the Rugby Union fray.

Wallabies players praised dual-code star Mark Nawaqanitawase after his stellar performance helped the Sydney Roosters win the NRL grand final 19-18 against Newcastle on Sunday. Prop Allan Alaalatoa described the 26-year-old winger as a freak whose upcoming return to rugby union with Japanese side Saitama Wild Knights will elevate competition within the Australian national squad.
The morale boost comes as Australia prepares to face the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup opener at Eden Park on Saturday. The match features a reunion with former Wallabies coach David Rennie, who is coaching New Zealand against his former team for the first time.
