Georgia Ponsonby: ‘Today’s performance won’t be good enough to beat England’

Stand-in Black Ferns captain Georgia Ponsonby has warned her side that their performance must improve ahead of their upcoming match against England's Red Roses at Allianz Stadium. The warning followed New Zealand's 66-14 victory over Scotland at Hive Stadium in Edinburgh during the WXV Global Series.

While the Black Ferns secured a convincing win with second-half tries from Mo’omo’oga Palu and Maama Mo'onia Vaipulu, Ponsonby highlighted ball security and decision-making as key areas for improvement. Ponsonby is currently captaining the side while regular skipper Ruahei Demant recovers from a calf injury.
