The Stormers have signed a towering Griquas second-rower on loan.

The Stormers have officially signed Griquas lock Albert Liebenberg on a loan deal. The move was confirmed by Griquas on Tuesday, allowing the 28-year-old forward the opportunity to test himself in the United Rugby Championship with the Cape Town-based franchise.
Liebenberg recently captained Griquas throughout their 2026 Currie Cup title defense. His arrival comes as the Stormers prepare to host the Sharks in round three of the United Rugby Championship on Saturday in Cape Town.
