England slipped to their first back-to-back defeats in a decade after losing 31-22 to Canada in the WXV Global Series.

Canada defeated England 31-22 in Ottawa during the WXV Global Series, handing the Red Roses their first back-to-back defeats in a decade. England had taken an early lead through a converted Maddie Feaunati try, but Canada took control later in the contest to complete a consecutive victory over the visitors.
Canada captain Sophie de Goede led the hosts by scoring a hat-trick of tries alongside kicking three conversions. Despite second-half tries from Amy Cokayne and Emma Sing, England could not overcome Canada's advantage, leaving the Red Roses to conclude their tournament campaign against the United States.
