Wales have got back to winning ways in WXV Global Series with a 17-0 win against the Sakura Fifteen in Tokyo.

Wales secured a 17-0 victory over Japan's Sakura Fifteen at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo to return to winning ways in the WXV Global Series. Head coach Sean Lynn's side weathered difficult conditions and sustained Japanese pressure before Seren Lockwood broke the deadlock in the 34th minute. Further tries from Kelsey Jones and a second score from Lockwood sealed the win.
Japan dominated possession in the first half behind strong carries from Hinata Komaki, Masami Kawamura, and Sophie Langford, but failed to score. Wales relied heavily on defensive resilience, led by game-high tackle counts from Alex Callender and Bryonie King, though the victory was marred by a serious second-half knee injury to Freya Bell.
