Nel Metcalfe is in a 30-strong party that will be led by co-captains Alex Callender and Kate Williams for back-to-back Tests in Japan.

Full-back Nel Metcalfe has been recalled to Sean Lynn's 30-strong Wales squad for an upcoming WXV double-header against Japan. The 21-year-old Gloucester-Hartpury player has fully recovered from a knee injury that previously sidelined her during the 2026 Women's Six Nations. Uncapped props Stella Orrin and Crystal James were also selected, while Alex Callender and Kate Williams will serve as co-captains.
Wales will play Japan at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium on October 24, followed by a second Test at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium on October 31. Notable omissions from the touring squad include Jaz Joyce, Alisha Joyce, and wing Seren Singleton.
