The home side trailed 21-10 at halftime, but stormed home in front of a sold-out home crowd to claim their 16th NPC title in their history.

Canterbury retained their NPC crown with a 43-24 comeback victory over Northland in the final at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch. The visitors led 21-10 at halftime following tries from Heremaia Murray, Jordan Trainor, and Corey Evans, but Canterbury rallied strongly in the second half to secure their 16th provincial championship title.
Replacements proved decisive for Canterbury, with hooker George Bell scoring twice and winger Isaac Hutchinson adding two tries after Northland halfback Sam Nock received a yellow card. Tyson Belworthy scored a late try off a scrum to seal the victory for Alex Robertson's side.
