Harlequins’ troubled start to the Gallagher Prem season continued with a third successive loss of the campaign against Sale at CorpAcq Stadium in Salford.

Sale Sharks defeated Harlequins 28-24 at CorpAcq Stadium in Salford to hand the visitors their third consecutive defeat of the Gallagher Premiership season. Despite the return of Marcus Smith, who scored two tries in the opening 20 minutes, Harlequins could not prevent a second-half comeback from the home side.
Quins held a 17-14 lead at halftime and secured a bonus point through Sam Riley's second try. However, tries from Ben Bamber, Elia Canakaivata, and Gus Warr, followed by a 73rd-minute penalty try when Riley illegally collapsed a driving maul, sealed victory for Sale.
