Toulouse flanker Jack Willis has retained his award as the best player in France. The 29-year-old becomes only the second player to achieve the feat consecutively, following France captain Antoine Dupont. Upon receiving the honor, Willis jokingly challenged reporters to help find him a path back into Test rugby.
Willis originally joined Toulouse in November 2022 after Wasps entered administration. Although initially granted special dispensation to represent England, he earned the last of his 14 international caps against Chile at the 2023 World Cup before extending his club contract in France.
