REACTION: USA XV captain Marno Redelinghuys remains confident in the quality of the Eagles-heavy side, despite finishing a two-match series against a star-studded Australia A lineup with a 52-0 defeat under Friday night lights in New Jersey.
USA XV captain Marno Redelinghuys backed his squad's quality despite a 52-0 loss to Australia A at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey. Taking over leadership duties from Jason Damm under head coach Scott Lawrence, the South African-born backrower maintained confidence in the team following consecutive blowout defeats in their two-match series.
Australia A dominated the match behind second-half try scorer and Player of the Match Harry McLaughlin-Phillips, as well as a try from Nick Frost. The USA squad will now prepare for upcoming fixtures against Hong Kong China, Romania, and Georgia in the World Rugby Nations Cup.
