Wallabies backrower Charlie Cale has sustained a shoulder injury in the lead-up to the clash with the Springbok.

The Wallabies face an injury setback as backrower Nick Champion de Crespigny has been ruled out of their upcoming clash against the Springboks. The 30-year-old previously debuted against the British & Irish Lions and captained Australia in a victory over Japan before featuring for the Western Force in the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.
Australia remains unbeaten under coach Les Kiss following matches against Japan and Argentina, most recently earning a 28-28 draw against Los Pumas in Mendoza. Fellow backrower Carlo Tizzano noted that testing their progress against South Africa represents an ideal challenge for the developing squad.
