Jessica Pegula publicly criticized United Airlines on X after experiencing significant travel disruptions on her way to the WTA Finals. The World No. 4 detailed that the airline initially canceled her flight, sent passengers to baggage claim, and subsequently reinstated the flight before taking off with her luggage still aboard.
United Airlines responded with an apology and requested her confirmation details to assist with the situation. Pegula is traveling to compete at the WTA Finals in Indian Wells, California, following a season that featured two Grand Slam semifinals and qualification secured in mid-October.
