Gael Monfils has made an honest admission about the challenge of coping with his separation from Elina Svitolina, with whom he shares their four-year-old daughter, Skai.

Gael Monfils revealed during a recent Twitch stream that his separation from Elina Svitolina has taken a heavy toll on his physical and mental health. The 40-year-old Frenchman explained that he has been eating less, struggling to train properly, and finding it impossible to return to the court to finish his professional tennis career as planned.
Svitolina recently announced the end of their five-year marriage, noting the strain caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, which led to an abrupt end to Monfils' career ahead of his planned retirement at the Paris Masters. Monfils also defended Svitolina on Instagram against criticism following the split, stating that they will always remain a family alongside their daughter, Skai.
