Jessica Pegula & Mirra Andreeva Put Hot Mic Controversy to Rest With ‘Diva’ Nod

Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva put an end to recent controversy through playful social media interactions during the WTA Finals photoshoot. Andreeva posted photos on Instagram captioned "DIVAS," to which Pegula quickly responded with "Divas in Chanel." The lighthearted exchange confirmed that the two players have moved past an awkward incident that arose from a live broadcast.

The initial controversy occurred when an unannounced hot mic caught Pegula calling Andreeva a "diva" while speaking with her coach, Mark Knowles, during a practice session. The WTA later apologized for the live microphone broadcast and removed the footage, while Pegula directly contacted Andreeva to clear the air before the tournament began.
