Rafael Jodar reached the round of 16 at the Shanghai Masters after defeating Jiri Lehecka 4-6, 7-6(7-2), 6-4. The victory marked Jodar's 40th ATP match win of the 2026 season, making him one of only eight players—including Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev—to hit that milestone this year.
The 20-year-old Spaniard, who turned professional in December 2025 and won his maiden title in Marrakech, improved to a 40-16 record. Sitting 11th in the rankings, Jodar remains in contention for a spot at the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin ahead of his next match against Botic van de Zandschulp.
