Carlos Alcaraz parted ways with his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero in December 2025, bringing an end to their highly successful seven-year stint together.

Juan Carlos Ferrero has firmly rejected suggestions that any potential coaching partnership with Jannik Sinner would be motivated by revenge against former protégé Carlos Alcaraz. Speaking in an interview with Punto de Break, Ferrero addressed rumors about his future, urging fans to respect his professional choices and maintaining that he would never work with a rival out of spite.
Ferrero, who split with Alcaraz in December 2025 after a successful seven-year partnership, explained that teaming with Sinner would allow him to coach the two top players of this generation. He noted he is seeking a more relaxed relationship with an already established player, while Alcaraz recently defended his Japan Open title against Jiri Lehecka.
