STV journalist Charters told colleague Ewen Cameron that Celtic "broke" him following Celtic's comprehensive 7-1 victory over Hearts. Speaking on their weekly STV Radio Football Podcast, Charters accused the vocal Hearts supporter of holding permanent anti-Celtic bias after Celtic previously secured the league title against Hearts on the final day of last season.
Cameron defended his stance, denying hatred or bias while maintaining that Hearts gift-wrapped all seven goals to Martin O'Neill's side through poor defensive play. Charters continued to mock Cameron during the broadcast, specifically referencing Callum Osmand's decisive third title-winning goal from the previous campaign.
