The USMNT returned to action in St Louis against Chile and claimed a 4-2 win which ended in a bad-tempered incident between the two teams.

The United States men's national team earned a 4-2 victory over Chile in St. Louis, but the match ended in a chaotic, bench-clearing brawl. The incident began after Chile winger Leandro Hernandez appeared to kick USMNT goalkeeper Brian Schwake while he was on the ground. Defender Chris Richards confronted Hernandez, sparking a scuffle that drew in substitutes from both benches. Captain Tyler Adams had to be restrained, while manager Mauricio Pochettino stepped onto the field to separate the players.
On the pitch, 17-year-old Mathis Albert became the youngest goalscorer in USMNT history, and 18-year-old Julian Hall also scored. The fixture served as an international send-off for veteran defender Tim Ream in his hometown, with Ream officially confirming his retirement from international soccer.
