Conor Washington spent a season playing with Halkett at Tynecastle and knows how big a miss he's been to the Jambos this year…

Former Hearts forward Conor Washington believes injured defender Craig Halkett will significantly improve the team's defense once he returns to fitness. Halkett suffered a ruptured Achilles late last season and is expected to be fit again after the New Year, leaving manager Wouter Vrancken dealing with a defensive injury crisis.
Washington dismissed concerns that Halkett would struggle in Vrancken's possession-oriented system, praising his decision-making, calmness, and leadership. Washington also highlighted the development of young forward James Wilson, noting that his loan spell at Tottenham and recent Edinburgh derby goal against Hibernian will provide major confidence.
