With John Tavares away from the Maple Leafs with the berth of his fourth child, the Maple Leafs were forced to change their roster ahead of their game against the Avalanche.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have adjusted their forward lines ahead of their game against the Colorado Avalanche due to John Tavares' absence. Tavares is away from the team following the birth of his fourth child, Tucker Tavares. As a result, Nick Paul moves up to center the second line between Easton Cowan and William Nylander.
Further adjustments include Colton Sissons shifting to center alongside Gavin McKenna and Bo Groulx, while Zack MacEwen returns to the forward group. On defense, Morgan Rielly and Darren Raddysh have been split onto separate pairings, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson returns after exiting Thursday's game with an injury. Anthony Stolarz gets the start in goal.
