The Knicks are waiving Bruce Brown and keeping James Wiseman on the roster as the team heads into its regular-season opener, sources told ESPN.

The New York Knicks have waived Bruce Brown while retaining center James Wiseman on their roster ahead of the regular-season opener. Brown had been competing on a non-guaranteed deal alongside players like Tony Bradley, Ochai Agbaji, and Drew Eubanks, who were also waived in recent days. Wiseman secured his spot after playing in all four preseason games, including an 18-point, 10-rebound performance against the Toronto Raptors.
According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the Knicks chose not to keep both players because they sit just $3.2 million beneath their second apron hard cap. Wiseman now joins Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond in the center rotation as New York prepares to host the Philadelphia 76ers.
