Son Heung-min and Rodrigo Bentancur reunited following South Korea's friendly against Uruguay on Monday night.

Rodrigo Bentancur and former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Son Heung-min reunited as captains during an international friendly between Uruguay and South Korea in Seoul. Uruguay secured a 4-1 victory over South Korea, with Son scoring a late consolation goal for his country. The two players shared embraces both before kick-off and at the final whistle.
Prior to the match, Bentancur expressed his excitement about facing Son, who transferred to LAFC in August 2025. Bentancur also addressed Tottenham supporters in Seoul, thanking them for their warm reception at the team hotel. The reunion followed a past controversy in 2024 when Bentancur was charged by the FA over offensive remarks about Son, for which he apologized.
