Japan's Yuta Sugiura produced an extraordinary and historic third round at the Compliance Solutions Championship to etch his name into the history books

Japan's Yuta Sugiura became only the fourth player in Korn Ferry Tour history to break 59 after shooting a 12-under 58 during the third round of the Compliance Solutions Championship. The 25-year-old began the day tied for 47th at The Patriot Golf Club before compiling an eagle, eleven birdies, and a single bogey to climb into contention.
Sugiura's historic round moved him into a tie for eighth place at 17-under, four strokes behind tournament leader Trent Phillips. He joins Stephan Jaeger and Frankie Capan III with a 58 on the tour, trailing only Cristobal del Solar's record-setting 57.
