The 49ers have officially welcomed back a former first-round pick, adding much-needed firepower to their depleted defensive front ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

The San Francisco 49ers activated defensive end Mykel Williams from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday, October 10. The 2025 No. 11 overall draft pick had been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL in November 2025 and is cleared to make his season debut against the Seattle Seahawks.
Williams' return bolsters an injury-depleted defensive line overseen by defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, which will be without Nick Bosa and James Thompson Jr. The team also re-signed veteran Ogbo Okoronkwo to the practice squad and elevated him alongside tight end Jack Stoll.
