Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Sandro Mamukelashvili praised guard Austin Reaves for his leadership and approachable demeanor following Thursday's preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings. Reaves made his preseason debut in the contest, recording eight points, five rebounds, and eight assists across 25 minutes of action. Mamukelashvili highlighted how Reaves consistently motivates teammates and provides valuable guidance before games.
Capitalizing on defensive attention drawn by Reaves and Luka Doncic, Mamukelashvili scored 19 points off open perimeter looks. Lakers head coach JJ Redick targeted dynamic players during the offseason, and the unselfish passing from guards like Reaves is expected to create extensive scoring opportunities for supporting players.
