Jonathan Kuminga's hot start with the Wolves is making the Lakers' free agency miss a questionable call.

Lake Show Life argues that the Los Angeles Lakers should regret missing out on forward Jonathan Kuminga during past free agency. Kuminga instead signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he has embraced a complementary role and excelled. Writer Chris Lambert contends that Kuminga's strong two-way production would have significantly elevated head coach JJ Redick's forward rotation alongside current contributors.
Through nine games, Kuminga is averaging 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and shooting 46.3 percent from three-point range. Lambert notes that with Kuminga holding a player option after the season, general manager Rob Pelinka could target him again next summer, though likely at a much higher price.
