Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel has confirmed that the final two rounds of the 2026 season will take place in Qatar and Abu Dhabi as scheduled. Despite ongoing regional instability impacting previous Middle Eastern events, Michel dismissed suggestions of cancellations or replacement races, affirming that F2 will mirror Formula 1's plans to conclude the season in November and December.
Michel also rejected the idea of retroactively crowning a champion, which would have awarded the title to Rafa Camara based on standings after Baku. With three drivers actively competing for the championship, Michel stated that the series is determined to finish the campaign on the track under optimal conditions.
