The Warriors opted to free up a roster spot to bring in Tyler Burton, who provides more size.

The Golden State Warriors waived guard Miles Kelly on Sunday, despite him scoring 28 points in a preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers just days earlier. Golden State released the second-year guard to free up a roster spot to sign forward Tyler Burton to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal.
Burton, a 6-foot-7 wing out of Villanova who averaged 10.8 points with the Memphis Grizzlies last season, addresses a positional need for Golden State. Head coach Steve Kerr's squad faces wing shortages, with Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody set to miss the start of the season.
