Mercedes has not delivered any fresh upgrades since the Canadian Grand Prix back in May.

Toto Wolff has confirmed that Mercedes will introduce its first major Formula 1 upgrade package since May's Canadian Grand Prix at this weekend's race in Sepang, Malaysia. Drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will run the updated W17 as Mercedes attempts to maintain its advantage at the front of the grid.
Mercedes currently holds a 160-point lead over Ferrari in the constructors' standings despite winning six of the last ten races without substantial development packages. Wolff explained that the team has been absent from recent pole position fights on conventional tracks, highlighting the demanding Sepang circuit as a crucial test for the new parts.
