AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim will not rush winger Alexis Saelemaekers back into action following an injury in training, according to Calciomercato.com. The Belgian player suffered an ankle sprain on Tuesday at Milanello just as he was being considered for a starting place in the upcoming fixture against Sassuolo.
Medical checks confirmed that Saelemaekers avoided bone and ligament damage, but he remains unlikely to feature this weekend. Amorim intends to monitor the winger day by day to prevent aggravating the issue ahead of a busy fixture schedule in October.
