Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has received a key fitness boost ahead of Saturday's match against Chelsea with the return of Kobbie Mainoo. The midfielder has rejoined the travelling squad following an injury lay-off, providing much-needed reinforcement as Carrick attempts to halt an eight-game winless run.
However, Manchester United also face significant injury setbacks, with striker Benjamin Šeško ruled out until January due to an ongoing shin problem. Carrick remains in charge despite intense speculation regarding his future following a recent 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth.
