The Toronto Maple Leafs’ hot-handed winger will be available for Monday night’s showdown against the San Jose Sharks (Sportsnet+, 7:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 p.m. PT) after previously being deemed a game-time decision due to an illness.

Toronto Maple Leafs winger William Nylander will play in Monday night's matchup against the San Jose Sharks after dealing with an illness. Nylander missed the team's morning skate and was considered a game-time decision by head coach Jim Hiller, but he ultimately participated in pre-game warm-ups to confirm his availability.
Nylander had previously been slated to skate on the top line with Auston Matthews and Jack Roslovic, while Bo Groulx took his spot during practice. The Maple Leafs enter the game seeking to break a three-game losing streak that has dropped them to last place in the Atlantic Division.
