The Los Angeles Chargers brought in former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster for a workout following an 0-5 start to their season. The 29-year-old veteran also worked out for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday as he seeks a potential free agent contract. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is actively seeking receiver reinforcement after enduring summer knee issues with Smith-Schuster.
Smith-Schuster was released by the New York Giants earlier this offseason after previous stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. Despite current receiver injuries involving Michael Pittman Jr., Roman Wilson, and Ben Skowronek, the Steelers have not shown interest in reuniting with their former 2017 second-round draft pick.
