A former defensive back of the Pittsburgh Steelers could soon join their AFC North rival.

The Cleveland Browns held a workout for former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Israel Mukuamu on Friday, according to KPRC2 reporter Aaron Wilson. The 26-year-old safety was previously released by Pittsburgh following an injury sustained during practice on August 15, shortly after recording a 12-yard sack during a preseason win against the Green Bay Packers.
Drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round in 2021, Mukuamu played extensively on special teams and logged 200 defensive snaps with two interceptions in 2024. He has also had brief stints with the Carolina Panthers and the UFL's Columbus Aviators.
