Chelsea forward Emmanuel Emegha has suffered another injury setback after feeling an issue in training. Manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that the striker remains unfit to play this week but is expected to return to training next week. Emegha has yet to play a minute of first-team football this season following an ongoing hamstring injury.
The setback adds to a challenging 12-month stretch for Emegha, who made only a handful of appearances last year after agreeing to join Chelsea from Strasbourg. Elsewhere at the club, Alonso confirmed that defender Reece James will miss approximately three months following minor knee surgery.
