The Vikings added to the pass rush with a signing announced earlier today. As the prophecy foretold, Minnesota has circled…

The Minnesota Vikings have officially signed outside linebacker Jihad Ward to their practice squad, the team announced on Friday. To make room for the veteran pass rusher, Minnesota released offensive tackle Tristan Leigh from the practice squad. Ward previously spent the entire 2024 campaign on the Vikings' 53-man active roster before playing elsewhere in 2025.
Ward spent the 2025 season with the Tennessee Titans, where he recorded 31 tackles, five sacks, and 22 quarterback hits in 17 games. Writer K. Joudry highlights Ward's familiarity with defensive coordinator Brian Flores' defensive scheme as Minnesota prepares to host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7.
